Who We Are

This website belongs to REMAX Enterprise Queenstown. We’re an independently owned and operated REMAX office, licensed under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 2020, and this page explains how.

What We Collect

When you send us a message or ask for an appraisal or an income estimate, we collect what you type into the form:

• your first and last name
• your email address and phone number
• the property address
• which appraisal you’re asking for
• your message, if you send one

If you call or email us, we keep what you tell us so we can help with your enquiry.

How We Use It

We use your details to reply to you, prepare the appraisal or estimate you asked for and follow up on that request. We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Who Sees It

Your details go to our team at the Queenstown office. The companies that run our website and email store them on our behalf. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we only share it with anyone else if you agree or the law requires it.

Other Websites

Applying for a tenancy, booking a short stay and browsing our listings happen on other websites. Each of them has its own privacy policy, which applies once you’re there.

Booking Tools

The short-stay search controls are provided by Hostaway. When they load, your browser connects to Hostaway's services. When you search, your selected location, dates and guest count are passed to our Hostaway booking website, where availability, reservations and payments are handled.

Hostaway's privacy information applies to its booking service.

Maps And Cookies

The map on our Contact page comes from Google. It loads when you scroll to it, and Google may then collect information such as your IP address and set cookies. The same applies when you follow a link to Google Maps or our Google reviews. Google handles that information under the Google Privacy Policy.

Website Statistics

We use Google Analytics to see how people use this website, such as which pages they visit, how they found us and what kind of device they use. It sets cookies, and Google collects information such as your IP address, which it uses to estimate your general location. We only see combined figures, not who you are. Google handles that information under the Google Privacy Policy. You can turn it off with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Keeping It Safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, or as long as the law requires.

Seeing Or Correcting Your Information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email queenstown.enterprise@remax.co.nz or call 021 207 8959.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
